Certificates

Choose our Certificates to lock in a higher dividend rate on your savings. Dividends are calculated daily, paid monthly, and can be fixed for terms from 3 to 60 months. Dividends can be credited back to your Certificate, or transferred to another account. Choose your term, and then open a Certificate that suits your financial goals. A minimum balance of $1,000 is required to maintain a certificate.

Certificate Maturity
Once your Certificate matures, you can still earn terrific rates by keeping your funds at San Francisco Federal Credit Union. Certificates renew automatically on the maturity date; unless you request otherwise prior to the maturity date. A renewal notice will be sent to you at least 10 days before the renewal date. When your Certificate is up for renewal, you have the following options:

  • Do nothing. Your Certificate will automatically renew and roll over into another Certificate.
  • Call (415) 775-5377, option 4 and ask that your funds be transferred into a savings or checking account at San Francisco Federal Credit Union.

In an ongoing effort to conserve paper, we no longer mail deposit receipts when opening a Certificate. However, you may sign onto Online Banking anytime in the day to access all of your account information.

For additional information, please contact us at (415) 775-5377, option 4 or contacts@SanFranciscoFCU.com.

* Certificates are also known as Fixed Rate Term Accounts.
