Having trouble making your San Francisco Federal Credit Union loan payments?
If you are finding it difficult to maintain timely payments on your auto loan, personal loans, credit card, home equity or first mortgage loan with San Francisco Federal Credit Union - due to a change in your financial situation, we may be able to provide assistance.
For your auto loan and other personal loans, you may be eligible for :
- Payment Deferment
- Re-amortization of your loan
- Loan modification

For your mortgage loan or home equity loan or line of credit, you may be eligible for:

To determine the best possible way to assist you with your mortgage loan or home equity loan/line of credit, we must review your financial situation. In order to do this, please provide the following:
- A completed Borrower's Assistance Package

- A letter explaining your current situation and hardship
- Your last pay stub or unemployment check stub
- Your last three account statements from checking, savings, 401(k), and other accounts you maintain
- The name and phone number of your listing agent, if your home is currently listed for sale
- A copy of your signed federal tax returns (including all schedules) for the last two years

The Department of Housing and Urban Development offers counseling for homeowners whose mortgage loans have become delinquent. This counseling could help you avoid foreclosure, and you are urged to seek it. The Department of Housing and Urban Development can be reached at 1-800-569-4287 or TYY 800-877-8339.
San Francisco Federal Credit Union has partnered with BALANCE, a financial fitness program that provides information to help you get through difficult financial situations.
BALANCE is paid for by the credit union; therefore, their services are complimentary to you as a member of San Francisco FCU.
Counselors are available six days a week:
Monday - Thursday: 5 a.m. - 8 p.m. (PST)
Friday: 5 a.m. - 5 p.m. (PST)
Saturday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (PST)
