2020 San Francisco Federal Credit Union’s Annual Meeting Notice
Credit Union Members,
The Annual Meeting and Election of the Credit Union will be held on March 4, 2020 at our corporate location, 770 Golden Gate Ave, San Francisco, CA 94102 at 6:00 PM.
Matters to be addressed at the Annual Meeting include:
- Determination of Quorum
- Call Meeting to Order
- Approval of Minutes from Previous Year
- Chairman and CEO Reports
- Supervisory Committee Report
- Unfinished Business
- New Business
In accordance with our Bylaws, the Secretary hereby submits the following election notice:
The Directors positions and terms of office to be filled at the 2020 Annual Meeting include three positions with three-year terms (2020 – 2023) and one incumbent with a one-year term (2020). Nominations may be made by submitting a petition signed by one percent (1%) of Credit Union members, currently set at 460 members. The election of board members will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor at the Credit Union’s Annual Meeting, when there is only one nominee for each position to be filled. Each nomination by petition must submit a statement of qualifications and biographical data with the petition. Valid nominations received by the petition are due to the secretary by January 24, 2020. The following incumbent Directors and volunteers have been nominated or re-nominated for election by San Francisco Federal Credit Union’s Nominating Committee:
Todd Rydstrom (Incumbent, 3-year term)
Todd Rydstrom has been a member of the Board of Directors of San Francisco Federal Credit Union since May 2016, after volunteering for three years and serving on the Supervisory Committee as an active member and Chair. Prior to his appointment as San Francisco’s Deputy Controller in December 2014, Todd served as the Assistant General Manager and CFO of San Francisco Public Utilities. He has over 25 years of public and private sector finance experience, serving in key fiscal leadership roles at the city and county of San Francisco since 2001, previously working in the pension fund industry at The Principal Financial Group, and currently serving on SFO’s Financial Advisory Committee.
Benjamin Kurko (Incumbent, 3-year term)
Ben Kurko has been a volunteer with San Francisco Federal Credit Union since 2014, serving on the Supervisory Committee as both Secretary and Chair, and has been on the Board since March 2017. An East Bay Area native, he migrated to San Francisco at the beginning of his professional career to work for the state of California at the Department of Business Oversight, where he was a Senior Financial Institutions Examiner, responsible for performing examinations of California State chartered credit unions. Ben currently works in the financial services industry.
Luenna Kim (Incumbent, 1-year term)
Luenna Kim joined the credit union as a volunteer in 2017. She has worked in the public sector for more than 15 years and currently serves as the director of human resources for the San Francisco Human Services Agency. Prior to that, she was the labor relations manager for the Human Services Agency and San Francisco General Hospital. Luenna has worked as a public defender, a legal recruiter for a Fortune 500 company, and as a human resources director for a public-school district a charter management organization.
Jeannie Wong (Nominee, 3-year term)
Jeannie Wong joined the credit union as a member of the Supervisory Committee in January 2017. She is currently the Director of Finance and Administration for the Controller’s office of the city and county of San Francisco, where she has oversight and management for budgeting, accounting, contracts, and procurement. In addition, Jeannie has served as vice president and executive director for the Bay Area Life Sciences Alliance (BALSA) and board administrator and corporate secretary for KQED.
