It’s never too soon to start a child’s financial education. San Francisco Federal Credit Union believes it is important to teach our young members the responsibility of managing their finances and helping them save for the future. It is never too early to teach money management skills!
Available for ages 6-18 years old
There is nothing as important as saving for the future. The Credit Union has a youth savings account with immediate dividend-earning power and no monthly maintenance fees. We encourage our young members to save.
Available for ages 13 – 18 years old
We encourage responsible management of the funds in our youth checking accounts. These accounts have no minimum balance requirement and no monthly maintenance fees.
Youth Financial Counseling
We offer our youth members resources, such as hosted seminars, through schools and community organizations. Our youth members learn how to manage their accounts and practice sound money management.
Youth Educational Scholarships
One of the most important benefits of belonging to the Credit Union is being able to apply to our annual youth educational scholarship program. Each year, we provide thousands of dollars to our youth members toward their post-secondary education.
Student Visa Platinum Credit Card
If you are at least 18 years old, we encourage you to apply for your very first credit card. Available to college students that are taking a minimum of six units.
